Chocolate Truffles

This is another recipe using the chocolate as an ingredient. Actually, there are many kinds of truffles, such as chocolate truffles and white chocolate truffles. It depends on the ingredients that you will add in the truffles. If you add the rum, you can call 'rum truffles'. If you add white chocolate, you can call 'white chocolate truffles'. The steps of making truffles are not far different. Let's see 'Chocolate Truffles' now.

For twenty four truffles
6 oz/175 g semisweet chocolate
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 tbsp confectioners' sugar
½ cup almonds
1 ¾ oz/50g grated chocolate

1. Melt the semisweet chocolate with the butter in a bowl set over a pan of hot water, stirring until well combined.
2. Stir in the confectioners' sugar and the ground almonds.

3. Let the mixture stand in a cool place until it is firm enough to roll.
4. Place the grated chocolate on a plate and roll the truffles in the chocolate to coat them.

5. Place the truffles in paper candy cases and let chill.

NOTE: You can use the mixture of chopped almonds and grated chocolate as well. Moreover, you can add your flavored liqueur in the truffles in order to have various tastes. This recipe is very easy, isn't it? Let's try!!
